Why is my toilet making bubbling noises?

inodoro

When your toilet starts gurgling, there’s cause for concern. Even though it may seem like a minor problem, it’s a sign that your plumbing isn’t working properly.

Your toilet can gurgle for a number of reasons:

Back suction

This could be due to improper venting. Venting prevents other appliances from creating a backflow, which draws air out of the toilet. This is what causes the gurgling sound.

Clogs

Air escaping from a clogged pipe is another cause of toilet gurgling. Clogs can occur anywhere in the sewer line, including the septic system. Clogs can be caused by objects flushed down the toilet, sediment, minerals, or even plant roots.

If you hear a gurgling noise coming from the toilet, the problem may be due to faulty tank equipment. The float, flush valve, and the entire system can wear out over time and cause it to malfunction.
